@crazyoagirl – yes, that’s exactly what happened to me. I also noticed that whenever I did the final one, it seemed to go wrong so when I was doing the 2nd row, there was a bit wide bit at the top. Even when I do 5 stiches I end up with about 10. Not quite got the knack yet.

Its kinda hard trying to knit and watch at the same time, I know how to do the slip knot and casting on but I’m trying to understand
April 13th, 2011 - 9:31 am
is there a video for starting the second row? … I keep messing up my first row when trying to work out how to start the second =(
April 13th, 2011 - 9:50 am
@crazyoagirl
sounds like you have to practice your knitting. Watch my video again and do it just as I do it. Go slow. You’re obviously doing something wrong. Please keep at it.
April 13th, 2011 - 10:21 am
so this is how- cast on, then the knit stitch, then the purl stitch.. do u switch back and forth between kind of stitches?
April 13th, 2011 - 11:08 am
thank you -I’m left handed and trying to learn to knit right handed. These videos make it so clear.
April 13th, 2011 - 11:52 am
@pokerjackal1 – I have exactly the same problem, been trying to learn for 2 days and I have tried to pause it but I can’t see where she is putting it the needle down too. I think I’d like to see it close up, and perhaps from a different angle. I am getting a bit annoyed that I can’t seem to ’see it’ unlike others. I don’t know anyone who knits and so I have to keep trying. It looks easy when you get thehang of it tho.

thanks for this! it refreshed my memory
